Experiment with fun new ways to embellish your knitting. We’ll turn traditional embroidery on it’s head with new materials, yarns, and ribbons. Class fee includes pizza & soda as well as an embellishment kit. All you need to bring is a smile and a few pieces of knitting to practice on (maybe a few of those swatches that are laying around…)

We explore further options knitting socks with one needle. Expand your sock knitting knowledge with a figure-eight cast-on, short-row toes, and short row heels. Top all that off with a very stretchy crochet bind-off.

Design Your Own Turkish Sock

Make your own folk socks! Perhaps the most beautiful socks in our world are Turkish. These socks were not from any pattern; each was designed by the knitter. However, there are formulas for knitting these, within which many looks can be achieved. Learn to make your own folk socks! We'll knit decorative mini-socks in class. You'll go home with a sizing grid and plan for knitting full-sized socks.

Entrelac Simplified

Many of you have been tempted by the Entrelac (or basketweave) baby blanket at the store. In this class we’ll cover all the techniques to knit the blanket, including sewing on the backing, while knitting a coordinating pillow.
Materials:
100g aran weight self striping yarn. Noro Kureyon, Noro Silk Garden, or Karaoke all work.

Stitch N' Pitch brings together two wonderful traditions — Baseball and the NeedleArts. Join Rae’s Yarn Boutique and Woven Art for a day at the ballpark. Tickets will include a seat for the game, a stylish baseball style shirt, and a goodie bag. We will be taking preorders for the game.

Swish Beaded Scarf

This is a snazzy summer knit. We’ll learn to add beads to a basic garter stitch scarf to add a bit of weight and a lot of style. A super easy project that makes terrific gifts!

Wet Felting Party

Just like the felting class in July but bigger, messier, and if the weather is good we’ll be moving it into the sunshine. We’ll have lots of time to really get silly with our felting and who knows what we’ll come up with. Class fee includes all materials as well as pizza and soda!

First Time Toe Up Socks

This is the perfect first sock. Choose any yarn and any foot size, no swatching necessary! Easy going knitting with a fit as you go design makes learning socks simple as pie!
Materials:
Pattern in included in class fee
100 – 150 grams of washable yarn. You can use anything from fingering to bulky. We’ve had lots of students either use Socks That Rock heavy weight (1 skein makes 2 pairs of average size short socks) or Debbie Bliss Cashmerino chunky (3 balls makes an average pair of socks).
Bring double point needles smaller than recommended for your yarn. Lynn recommends bringing any double points you have so you can have some options in class.
