About Us

Rae’s Yarn Boutique is local knitting shop located in Lansing, MI. Our goal is to bring unique natural fiber yarns and supplies to knitters. Established in May of 2004, we started out with less than 200 sq feet. This forced us to carefully cultivate a collection of yarns that we feel proud of. Everything in our shop is something we would gladly use ourselves.

We moved into our first proper retail space in 2005 & purchased our own building in a historic block of Lansing in 2007. We now happily have a bit of “elbow room” and 2 dedicated class spaces. I hope you’re able to join us for one of our knit nights next time you’re in the Lansing area.
