We’re all excited to announce the Rae’s Yarn Boutique Sock Club.

Beginning this May, Rae will be putting together a fabulous kit every other month. Inside you’ll find a scrumptious skein of sock yarn, an exclusive knitting pattern, and fun bonus goodies to top things off.

Rae’s working with her favorite yarn companies and indie dyers to be sure that each kit’s yarn is something fresh and exciting to knit. Many of the kits will include yarns or colors that are exclusive to the club.

Rae’s also searched out a selection of both established and just budding designers who are designing an exclusive pattern just for our club. These patterns are designed specifically for the yarn and color choice for each kit to help ensure a wonderful result.

And what can I say about those extra goodies… They’re a surprise! However I can say that we find tons of cute little knitting related items that we’d love to carry in the shop & don’t always have them room. We’ll be putting together a selection of cool tools and toys that will be sure to please.

So what do you need to do to sign up?
Choose whether you’d like a membership for 1, 3, or 6 kits. Then choose if you’re local or if you’d like your kits shipped. Prepaying for 3 kits saves you 10% & prepaying for 6 kits saves you 20%!
Shipping is $5 per kit.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do the kits come out?

Kits come out every 2 months, beginning in May of 2010. This means a new kit is available in May, July, September, November, January, and March. This club is ongoing, so new kits will continue to come out in 2011 and beyond at this same rate.

Kits will be available beginning the first week of the month. You will receive an email to let you know when they’re ready to be picked up, or an email with a tracking number once they have shipped.

Is more yarn available in the kit colors?

We are happy to provide club members with more of the featured club yarn. I will be ordering a limited amount of extra skeins to arrive with the first shipment of kits. If you need more just send us an email & we’ll be happy to sell single skeins at retail price.

Are there a limited number of kits available?

Yes and no… I don’t have a cap on the number of preordered kits at this time. However once we get to the month prior to the kit being released I do have to cap off the numbers for that kit only. So for example, for the May kit, on April 1st I’ll look at how many kits have been pre-ordered and order enough supplies for those kits plus a few extra (generally around 30 extra kits). Those final kits are sold first come, first serve, and once they’re gone, that’s it.

So if you want to be sure you get a kit, order at least a month before the kit comes out.

Are the kits secret or do we get a preview?

The kits are top secret! It’s so much more fun to be surprised.
